Presentation of the final work:

"Cabaça" is a piece resulting from the collaboration process between the composer Johnathan Santos and the guitarist Darren Loughran, who performed the work in the lunchtime concert series on Thursday 28th April 2022, at Maynooth University.

The word "Cabaça" is a dried-out, hollow shell of Lagenaria or Cucurbita plants, used for various purposes, including constructing an instrument called "berimbau", which was an essential element of inspiration for the piece.
